Through a series of filmed live performances by bands and artists from the alternative Greek music scene, the Onassis Foundation is supporting the local indie concert venue scene: its artists, but also everyone who plays their part – technicians, lighting specialists, and all those professionals without whom the music that has shaped us would never have reached us.

Α series of digital discussions reflecting on Greek society. A cross-section of citizens – representatives of highly active organizations, members of academic and artistic communities, from the worlds of activism, civil society, journalism, research, legal representation, and governance, and drawn from the various ethnicities and communities that call Athens home – share their experiences uncensored, taking a stand on issues raised and reasoned out during the course of their discussions.

The curated program “Cinema” consists of selected films by filmmakers who take risks, experiment and redefine the concept of cinema. Emerging and renowned filmmakers from Greece and abroad, feature and short films, hybrid works and documentaries, powerful stories, including new films that are introduced to the public for the first time, on virtual premiere in our digital channel.

A series of new documentaries will be bringing us closer to issues that concern us all, turning our gaze on individual and collective realities, on personal stories worth telling, on dreams, experiences, and new narratives. Onassis Documentaries will be taking us into the fragile realities of adolescence (“Girlhood” – 2021), the power of speech and democracy (“Democracy Is Coming”), the importance of breaking the silence (“TACK”), and the human desire to fly (“Birds Or How to be One” – 2020). Everyday heroes from every corner of the world – everywhere from Athens to Santiago and from New York to Istanbul – speak openly, taking a stand on issues relevant to the here and now. Through the power of the image and the authenticity of the documentary form, we are transported – we feel and doubt, and finally are brought close to our own realities, to the worlds in which we choose to live.

With “On Stage,” the Onassis Foundation brings out theatrical and musical shows that were unforgettable, sold out or you didn’t get the chance to attend. Reviewing the past ten years of Stegi’s action, the new digital platform of the Onassis Foundation brings (again) to the stage legendary theatrical and dance performances and concerts.

"Onassis Encounters" is a meeting with artists, authors, scientists, people who transform the way we think through their works, their lives. Each video is a unique encounter, an opportunity to look at the past but also towards the future, giving a chance to here-and-now culture.

"Future in Common" is a program created for all the things that concern us, starting from today until as far as tomorrow goes, for what fuels our curiosity and energy, for what we have shared for long and for what we want to share in the future. A place where art meets the environmental crisis and fashions meets thoughts, ideas and a three-dimensional world made of digits.
