For the Onassis Foundation, culture is a way of life, and unlimited access to it is a right for all, especially now that we are constantly reminded of the value of the things we have been taking for granted.
Culture unites us. Even if we can’t hear the bar bell, we don’t hold a program in our hands, we do not touch those sitting next to us, we can watch on the Onassis Foundation YouTube digital channel artistic instances that made history, starting a new life that does not substitute the stage, the shared experience, the applause, yet it can reveal new aspects and form “another” truth.
On Friday, May 1, we take a spiritual road trip guided by Dante, since his "Divine Comedy" premieres live as an Argyro Chioti and Vasistas’ performance. Then, we travel together with the thousands of subscribers to our channel in a live, interactive digital role and we dive into Virginia Woolf’s "The Waves", directed by Dimitris Karantzas. On May 6, the Onassis Foundation introduces a different film, Marina Danezi’s documentary "Scavengers’ Union", about people with different cultures, origins, religions, who live together in peace. The documentary, which accords with the philosophy of the Onassis Foundation to trigger discussions, was provided by courtesy of the director and will premiere live on YouTube.
