I’d like oh how I’d like yes I’d like right away right now I want*

we want / oh yes, we want all that is obvious but not yet a given.

want freedom from fear, to breathe and to forget ourselves – and if we forget something else along the way, no matter. We’ve no more need for punishment to realize what’s important in life.

we want the promise of a happiness that never comes – waiting for it to arrive is just as sweet.

want a lightness that fits, as it turns out, inside such phrases as “yesterday together was nice” and “how did you like the show?”, “tipsy again, the lot of us…” and “how we all laughed!”, uttered in Athens and wherever it is we want. Up sand dunes or up scaffolding.

not like before.

no more nostalgia.

as life is worth living now: free.

How best to live our lives? This year – when we need hope and joy but also contemplation more than ever – culture at the Onassis Foundation is surging onto the stages of Onassis Stegi and activating new spaces, both in the city and online, in order to talk about all of us. About young people, new symbolic figures, and the beings that go beyond us all but who we can also be. About how we are in touch with our own selves and with others, with our rights, and with nature. All in the hope that art can change mindsets, and new mindsets can change the world.
