An international committee for a global Cavafy

Since 2017, the coordination of activities undertaken by the Cavafy Archive has been entrusted to a nine-member Academic Committee, which ensures both the integrity and the diversity of its activities. The Committee is comprised of internationally renowned Greek and foreign academics, specialists in Literature, Law, Digital Humanities, and Communications Systems.

The basic role of the Committee is to organize the Archive’s scholarly and research activities, to manage the possibilities presented by the Archive’s scholarly resources, to assess the Archive’s impact on specialist audiences as well as the broader public, to propose further cultural and educational activities, to promote research on Cavafy’s work and formulate a model for archival administration and to collaborate with other educational and cultural organizations (universities, research programs, archives, etc.).
