How can a hospital visit transform from a source of anxiety to a positive experience for children, teenagers, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

A visit to hospital can be a difficult challenge for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). New and unknown spaces, waiting, being examined by doctors and nursing staff are but a few aspects that go unnoticed, but they can cause acute anxiety to children, teenagers, and adults with ASD. Even a standard check-up can become a source of anxiety.

This webinar was created in order to familiarize special education teachers, therapists and mental health professionals with educational material and with the creation of individualized social stories, practical advice, tips, and steps that will help prepare individuals with ASD of any age to “go to the doctor” for heart tests.

Learn how to help individuals with ASD and those accompanying them prepare appropriately and systematically for hospital visit. Help transform a stressful process into a positive experience!
