Have you ever wondered if you could create a sculpture on your computer screen? Discover the unlimited potential of digital technology and make your own work of art through an educational program dedicated to the great Greek sculptor Yanoulis Halepas.
Three-dimensional art plays an important part in our everyday life. It suffices to take a look at your favorite cartoon movie or videogames. And yet creating a sculpture in a computer screen is not as difficult as it may seem, particularly when the work of one of the most emblematic Greek sculptors is our guide.
Several decades since his death, Yanoulis Halepas continuous to inspire young and older people, students will familiarize themselves with the impressive work of the sculptor from Tinos, the style and different themes of his work, before trying to flesh out their own ideas.
Through imagination as well as familiarization with open-access software, the notions of digital sculpture and 3D modeling, students will create their own 3D works and digital sculpture. They will also organize their own digital art exhibition, and will use sculpture materials and tools in order to create sculpture with the guidance of specialized artists.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The online application form will be made available soon.
