Introduction

How “close” do you feel to Artificial Intelligence? The Onassis Foundation is organizing a forward-thinking educational festival that aims at the harnessing of knowledge and the understanding and use of algorithmic technologies, data, and software, putting the educators themselves at center stage, regardless of their level of technological knowledge.

Register for the two-day AI_ducation Festival and gain the tools that carve a new path toward novel teaching practices that upgrade the educational process.

Artificial Intelligence has already become a part of everyone’s daily life; however, its impact on all stages of the educational process remains uncharted territory. The AI_ducation Festival invites educators to navigate the world and practices of Artificial Intelligence, reshaping the future of education in Greece. The action is organized and coordinated by the Onassis Foundation in cooperation with the Institute of Educational Policy and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports.

With guests from Greece and abroad and through a series of workshops, presentations, and discussions, the AI_ducation Festival aims to empower educators who wish to learn, use, and contribute toward a new type of learning experience. Individuals at the forefront of young people’s education can now gain the tools to implement Artificial Intelligence in school classrooms effectively.

In an ever-changing world full of challenges and opportunities, young people reserve the right to contemporary modes of teaching and assessment methods. This is exactly the new education environment anticipated by the AI_ducation Festival, with growth, technology, and innovation for tomorrow serving both as guiding lights and an ultimate destination, starting today, for the students, by their teachers.

The AI_ducation Festival offers:

Empowerment of the participating teachers through workshops, presentations, discussions, debates, and access to ideas, materials, and tools for the use of Artificial Intelligence in and outside the classroom.

Introduction to the concepts and presentation of the potential of algorithms, engineering, and deep learning for neural networks, as well as for Artificial Intelligence applications.

Presentation of success stories of educational programs that have been effectively implemented in schools.

Connecting and enhancing partnerships between educators, EdTech companies, academics, and Artificial Intelligence experts.

Monitoring issues related to the ethics of Artificial Intelligence and its implications for education and society.

Access to tools for a personalized learning experience tailored to the needs of each student.

New professional development opportunities for participants by enhancing their knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.
