Many people believe that nature and technology are two opposing concepts. In this workshop, we will discover the relationship that can be developed between the two, as well as the ways in which they can coexist, through the creation of an interactive art installation using sensors. Natural materials such as soil, stones or tree bark will be placed in simple geometric formations at various points within the workshop room.
Using the open source programming language Processing, participants will bring the natural materials to life by creating different forms of interaction through the use of audiovisual media produced by themselves. Messages, sounds, and moving images will blend with nature, creating a landscape in which nature and technology become one.
