Alexandros Kontogeorgakopoulos
Assistant Professor, Co-founder of oneContinuousLab
Alexandros Kontogeorgakopoulos is an academic and artist, conducting transdisciplinary research and creating work at the convergence of art with science and technology. From 2009 to 2022, he was Lecturer and Assistant Professor in sound arts and new media at the School of Art and Design of the Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, and from 2022 he holds the position of Assistant Professor in “Digital, Interactive Arts and Art Installations” at the Department of Digital Arts and Cinema of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research work includes publications in international conferences and journals in the fields of music informatics and digital arts. His artistic practice revolves around music, sound and interactive arts, digital fabrication and multimedia, and his works have been presented in various countries in Europe and America. He is the co-founder of oneContinuousLab, an art-science studio-lab, which produces artistic work and research based on computational and physical media such as sound, light, space, matter, text, and movement.
