How does art become the ground for meeting the digital and the local, nature and humans, history and legends? How can mushrooms help us battle the planet’s pollution? What is the relationship of Onassis Library to the city of Ioannina, and how does this link us broadly with the history of Typography? How close can a 3D printer bring us to the tradition of weaving fabrics on a loom?
The educational programs devised by Onassis Education do not plainly complement the exhibition, but converse with the past and future of the city of Ioannina, instigating a dialogue between the material and the immaterial and inviting us to seek our origins to dream of our future. A series of tours of selected works along the lakeside route from June 17 and onwards, workshops centered around the coexistence of nature and technology, the art of bookbinding, wool production techniques, and various methods of mushroom cultivation, invite us to discover Plásmata through a creative and interactive manner.
