How can a podcast turn into a tool for teachers in the classroom?
What would you think if you received an audio recording of a group assignment for the history class, instead of having to read it from a notebook? Wouldn’t it be more interesting to listen to a fruitful dialogue between two students instead of reading a dry text without the “coloring” of words through the voices of students, or without any incorporated sound extracts featuring the protagonists of an important historical event?
On the occasion of the podcast series “Live from Mount Olympus”, nominated for the Webby Awards (hailed as the “Oscars” of the Internet internationally), the Onassis Foundation wishes to familiarize the community of teachers with the digital medium of the podcast, a contemporary way of featuring topics, suggesting creative ways of using it in the classroom.
Bringing together the talent of contemporary theater with the force of ancient Greek myths, “Live from Mount Olympus” is a sonic adventure about the myth of Perseus.
