Introduction
In search of an effective intervention for children with ASD, simply follow the music. Musical notes and sounds substitute language, paving the road for social interaction and emotional expression.
How can music help improve and develop individual skills of children with ASD? How can it play a decisive role in social interaction, supporting the notion of inclusion?
In the context of this program, an experiential workshop is organized, aiming to bring together teachers, parents, and mental health professionals in order to discuss the benefits of music-movement for children with ASD, and in particular the ways through which music can become the starting point of play at school and at home.
Discussions will include findings and conclusions from the implementation of the program “Music Loves Autism” at special education schools as well as workshops at Onassis Stegi.Soon to be announced
