How can the G clef unlock emotions and skills of children who find themselves in the broad autism spectrum? A music workshop for parents and children, unleashing communication through musical notes and rhythm.
For the ninth consecutive year the educational program of the Onassis Foundation “Music Loves Autism” brings music to mixed groups of children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder and their parents. Musical notes and rhythm become “the language of communication”. Its means are the piano, the recorder, or the saxophone.
Listen, observe and enter this specially designed music game with all your senses. Musicians and educators are there, by your side, to adjust all musical activities to your desires and abilities. Sounds and musical instruments help children release their emotions and develop their social skills. Through teamwork, the workshop aims to enable children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to release their creativity and become part of the team.
Music is an art that goes beyond verbal communication. This year it travels to new destinations, to cities across Greece, actively supporting equal access to learning and play.
