A workshop for the development of young people within an education system that understands and provides teachers the opportunity to safely address issues of sexuality, diversity and relationships in the classroom.

Teachers know that issues related to sexuality, psychosexual development, gender identity and gender expression, sexual diversity, interpersonal relationships, intimacy and sexual abuse concern both students and parents, as well as the entire educational community. Nevertheless, the opportunities provided in Greece within the school, but also afterwards, in order to access what is internationally called sex education or relationships and sexuality education, are minimal.

In this workshop, through six online meetings, the participants come theoretically and experientially in contact with the relevant topics. In addition, based on UNESCO’s guidelines, a discussion on school sex education programs is initiated, while positive communication approaches are presented to be practiced in the classroom with students but also with parents.

Teachers know better than anyone that you need to educate yourself first, in order to be able to educate others. Therefore, aiming to raise their awareness, to support and train them, this workshop is a useful tool for ensuring the sexual health and protection of children and young people.
