A program that deploys digital educational resources in the school curriculum.

Photo: Yorgos Karahalis

This educational program has been developed drawing on the digital collections of the Onassis Library and the Cavafy Archive, but also with further references to digital projects introduced by cultural and educational institutions. The program is addressed to secondary educators and it aims at familiarizing them with the use of educational resources (digital archives, libraries, museum or cultural institutions’ open digital collections); by extension, the program aims at embedding these resources in the educational practice.

How is the middle and high schools’ curriculum connected with items, applications, and digital tools that are offered to the educational community online and openly? During this digital literacy program, the educators will discover the way to use and navigate through the digital environment of each collection, they will get acquainted with the use of tags (keywords), the use of larger collections/accumulators; whereas at the same time, the educators will participate in activities designed to allow the creative deploy of the content of the Cavafy Archive and the Onassis Library Collections in the school curriculum.
