What are your feelings when you read a poem? To taste classical literature in a different way, we fill our hands with color, release our body and play with technology.

Who says we can’t read Cavafy differently?

To get closer to his work, we turn the music up, and perform Ithaca as a choreography. We write our own verses, and draw the Laestrygones and the Cyclops; actually, we may meet them in the schoolyard, on the interactive map we just set up. Through three creative workshops, poetry and other arts blend in and we learn how to express ourselves unrestrainedly.

In the workshop "A poem, a picture, an edition", we create our own handmade illustrated editions. Cavafy used to do the same: he would go to the printer’s, lay out his own single-pages, and distribute them to people. In the workshop "Verses and movement” we build a strong group and make a collective choreography. And in the workshop "Electrified Poetry", we prove how contemporary Cavafy can be: we perform him with video, image and digital installation.
