The mask as a means of expression and experimentation from antiquity to the present. A workshop in which you’ll learn everything you need to make a mask from scratch.
Photo: Christos Chryssopoulos
Get to know at first hand a tool which has been helping us play roles and transform ourselves since the most ancient of days—the mask—and make one for yourself.
Once you've mastered the techniques and gained some knowledge and experience of mask marking, you'll be able to experiment freely and create two different styles of mask: one based on those used in ancient Greek theater, and a more complex example in the Venetian style. Then decorate them exactly as you like and take them away with you at the end.
