This live virtual tour of the Onassis Library is a chance to discover how seven centuries of cultural heritage can be made thrilling, modern, and full of life.

Connect with the Onassis Library and get ready for a journey through time and space. In the space of less than an hour, you’ll encounter stories and rare treasures from the early years of printing, back in the time of Gutenberg, and from the Greek Revolution that broke out in 1821, not to mention the symbols and secrets of the Charta of Rigas Velestinlis, and chronicles of everyday life written by European travelers who lived for a while in Greece during those times we’ve all read about in our history books.

Your guide on this live virtual tour is the Onassis Library Coordinator, on hand to guide you down new paths and towards new ways of discovering surprising facts, troves of knowledge, and stories never published. Ask about, talk about, and get lost in a world of books, exhibits, and history that will make you love libraries and rethink your relationship with the book as an art form.

This program is held online via a digital platform (modern distance learning).
