A concert with new songs by the creators of the past competitions.

The Greek Song Writing Competition has already become an institution in the realm of "entechno" [art song] Greek song writing. More than 1,500 participants and 100 songs have been singled out, making a great impression to spectators of the four concerts that took place since the Competition’s establishment, as well as to the broader public that loves Greek song.
Apart from awarding talented musicians, the Competition most importantly brings together young and acclaimed artists, showing the many aspects of Greek song writing and its potential.
On its fifth anniversary, this year’s Competition will be celebratory rather than competitive. Over the span of three days, a series of events will be solely devoted to all aspects of Greek song.
In this context, on 9 and 10 December 2015 workshops for the general public will be held in the Upper Stage. These aim to educate and support new composers, song writers and lyricists on the process of conceiving and writing a song, its presentation to the public, its recording and, finally, its album release.
On 11 December 2015, there will be the Greek Song Writing Competition Concert at the Main Stage of the Onassis Stegi, with new songs and many surprises. A celebration for the Competition’s five years, and of Greek song, it will be recorded live for the production of an anniversary CD.
