Dimitris Lagios

In the context of the actions within the Greek Song Cycle aimed at drawing attention to masterpieces and neglected works from the repertoire of Greek song, the second concert dedicated to Unknown Hellenism showcases a composer who departed this world prematurely at the age of 38. Dimitris Lagios (1952-1991), the musician and composer from the island of Zakynthos, left behind a large and wide-ranging body of work incorporating compositions and poems as well as an educational and social dimension. This concert will feature Greek premières of key works from his oeuvre.
