Onassis Stegi and Cinobo present a three-day descent into the magical and mysterious world of David Lynch, through his entire filmography and a 3-season “Twin Peaks” marathon. It’s our way of thanking him for the dreams and nightmares he gave us. With support from the Athens International Film Festival.
We free fall into the unconscious at the Onassis Stegi, together with Cinobo, in a cinematic tribute to David Lynch. A few days after the STEGI.RADIO Takeover, David Lynch’s cinematic universe takes over Onassis Stegi, transforming it into a dark, surreal world stretching from –1 to the Upper Stage. A marathon of the three “Twin Peaks” seasons at –1, screenings of all films on the Upper Stage, music, and a curated food menu.
We open the mysterious blue box and enter the Silencio Bar to meet the rabbits, The Mystery Man, and Laura Palmer, to discover how secrets travel, and relive dreams and nightmares together. Not to say goodbye to David Lynch because we can’t get him out of our minds, but to thank one of our era’s greatest filmmakers.

About “Twin Peaks”
The year is 1989. In a small, mountainous, and isolated town in Washington state, USA, a female senior at the local high school is found slain. An FBI agent arrives at ‘idyllic’ Twin Peaks with a strong sense of morality, highly unconventional methods, and a determination to identify the perpetrator. It quickly becomes clear that the deceased Laura Palmer was unexpectedly associated with many members of the community and that the ‘spotless’ and pure image of both her and the town conceals numerous dark secrets.

Following the tribute at the Onassis Stegi, David Lynch’s filmography will be available on the Cinobo streaming platform at cinobo.com exclusively for subscribers, where his 15 short films will be available soon.
Moreover, the Athens International Film Festival will show Lynch’s films at the Athinaion and Cinobo Opera cinemas from February 14 to 24 as part of a grand Athenian celebration of the world cinema’s unique personality.

David Lynch was first introduced to audiences in 1977 with the black-and-white surreal horror film “Eraserhead.” Since then, he has steadily expanded his unique visual and narrative universe with each film, establishing the style we now call ‘Lynchian’ as a synonym for the cryptic, eerie, and uncanny. Lynch, a Palme d’Or winner and Oscar nominee, has managed to haunt our thoughts with his films, alongside actors such as Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Naomi Watts, and Laura Dern, as well as Angelo Badalamenti’s music.
