For the fourth year, the Onassis Stegi brings contemporary dance to high schools with the educational programme for teenagers “I Dance Therefore I Communicate”. Its aim is to nurture and boost creativity, self-confidence, and collaboration, and thus the communication between students through dance.“I Dance Therefore I Communicate” is based on the programme ‘Dancing to Connect’, which has taken place in over 30 countries worldwide. In collaboration with the programme’s creators, Battery Dance Company, New York, and the support of the US Embassy in Athens, the Onassis Stegi has, in the last three years, trained Greek dancers to run the program.

Credits

Dancing to Connect will be led by members of the dance group that has participated in the program over the past three years. It consists the following dancers: Nikoleta Karmiri, Candy Karra, Androniki Marathaki, Yiannis Nikolaidis, Aris Papadopoulos, Martha Pasakopoulou, Dimokritos Sifakis, Elena Stavropoulou, Antonis Strouzas, Maria Fountouli and Ilias Hatzigeorgiou.
