How do we handle multiple reflections in the mirror of virtual reality? Two young choreographers and dancers feel the pulse of the times and present a work-commentary on human relations and the omnipotence of the picture. Private life, on the microscope of the social media, appears ever more transparent and accessible to everyone as it becomes spectacle.

The chorographic duo, Christos Xyrafakis and Andi Xhuma, make their first stage appearance responding to the challenge of joint endeavour and the onslaught and dominion of images nowadays.

The work “Ok, that’s you..” studies the interaction or rather the merging of the real and the digital, not in order to create yet another polarity – a distinction between false and “true”, “genuine” and “artificial” – but to underscore the ever accelerating digitalization of the world that surrounds us. The two young artists tune in to the here and now, responding to the questions: how do we deal with relationships at digital times? and how is everyday life channelled through gadgetry, so than the private and the public domain are perennially perceived as a mediated reality?

The concept begins on the premise or the observation of the omnipresent, omnipotent image and its influence on every aspect of human activity. This work attempts to foreground the terms on which we are made “available” through our digital reflections, whatever this insight might involve. Is it a passing fad or a world increasingly disintegrating into digits? Four dancers explore the fragility of relationships and communication, playing with the stereotypes of the era and our secret fears, in the face of our mutating experience, our contact with “reality” and the other. After all, the artists seem to say, images do not merely portray things, but the state of affairs around us.
