Stathis Tsemberlidis

Stathis Tsemberlidis is a Copenhagen-based artist working with comics and film. He studied fine arts in Athens and has a master's degree in animation from Kingston University in London.

He co-founded the Decadence comics art collective in 2003 together with the artist David Lander. He has participated in several comics festivals such as Comics Art Brooklyn Festival (NYC), Tokyo Art Book Fair (Japan), Offprint festival at Tate Modern (UK), as well as in group and solo art exhibitions: ‘Publish and be damned,’ ICA (UK), The 15th Tallin Print Triennial, KUMU Art Museum (Estonia), Nordic Biennial of Contemporary Art, Momentum 9 (Norway), and Pavillon Blanc Art Center – Le Printemps de Septembre art festival (France).

In his recent work he investigates various aspects of live performance in relation to film making and live broadcasting.
