Eftychia Leontidou
Eftychia Leontidou is an obstetrician-gynecologist, University of Athens Ph.D., active in the autonomous feminist movement (self-examination groups, matriarchal societies study, feminist action). She has published articles and translations to medical and feminist journals in Greece and internationally. Having a diverse contribution – essays, translations, photographs – to many collective volumes, she has recently authored two books of her own.
Eftychia has collaborated with the Medical Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Victims, the Greek National Organization for Medicines publishing team, and the Greek Medicine Studies Association’s ‘Iatrotek’ team. She trains groups of unemployed, abused and immigrant women on health issues, in collaboration with women’s, cultural and parents’ organizations, groups, schools, municipalities, the Research Center for Gender Equality, YWCA of Greece, the Diotima Center, the European Union, et al.
