Dimitri Limpert

Dimitri Limpert is the son of a German-Russian immigrant from Kirgistan. His mother is Volga-German, his father is from Russia. Dimitri bought his first SLR camera when he was twelve years old, and has been photographing people ever since. Dimitri grew up in the Kirgistan capital, Bishkek, where he studied Architecture and Design for five semesters. He then immigrated with his parents to Germany in 1994, where he worked in advertising and video design. During his advanced studies in L4 Interactive Video Design at the Institute for New Media, he shot his first short-film, “Ennio,” as a parody of spaghetti western films. In 2002, he played a part in “Theater von K. Schulmann.” Thereafter he worked on several short films. From 2007 till 2011, Dimitri studied direction at the Filmarche in Berlin, and in 2018 he studied Fiction Production at iSFF (Institut für Schauspiel, Film und Fernsehberufe), Berlin.
