Argyris Xafis

Argyris Xafis is a National Theater of Greece Drama School graduate, class of 1997. From then until today, he has worked and collaborated as an actor or director with almost every single most important cultural organization and theater company in Greece, including the National Theater, the National Theater of Northern Greece, Onassis Stegi, Greek Festival, Notos Theater Company (Amore), Theseum Theater etc. He has also worked in Germany at Mahagonny Theater.

He has performed in plays of Sophocles, Euripides and Aeschylus, Shakespeare, Chekhov, Calderón de la Barca, Schnitzler, Goethe, Büchner, Dimitriadis, and worked with directors including George Lanthimos, Thomas Moschopoulos, Albrecht Hirche, Michael Marmarinos, Nikos Mastorakis, Cezaris Grauzinis, Vaggelis Theodoropoulos, Io Voulgaraki and many more.

He was awarded with the Best Actor in a Feature Film Award from the Greek Film Academy, the ‘Dimitris Horn’ Award for Best newcomer in a stage performance, Critics Award for Best performance, and Original Artist.

Finally, he teaches Drama at the Athens Conservatory Drama School.
