The Organizing Committee and the Jury of the Panhellenic Competition for Schoolchildren Hack the Art: Yanoulis Halepas would like to congratulate all the awarded school teams. In addition, they would like to congratulate and thank all the students who participated, as well as the supervising teachers for their essential support from the beginning to the end of the competition process.
The objective behind the competition was to allow students and educators to unfold their creativity and devote time to an interdisciplinary activity that combines diverse cognitive fields and capacities.
All the school teams had the rare opportunity of becoming acquainted with the great Greek sculptor Yanouls Halepas through his life and work, forging their own works while making use of new technologies, joining a process of conducting historical research and accessing primary sources and archives. Through this experience, the students had the chance to utilize innovative digital tools and gain capacities that will assist them professionally in the future.
All submitted digital works during Phase Two of the competition were remarkable, distinguished by a certain quality and pedagogical value, while they further revealed the great effort, stamina, and active interest of students and teachers to work methodically and collectively in order to deliver a fully-formed result.
To those who reached the end of this wonderful journey – the schools, headmasters, supervising teachers, students, and parents alike – you deserve the warmest congratulations.
We hope that you will continue your work and efforts, you will not give up easily, you will keep doing what you love, and make your dreams come true!
The digital works of all school teams will soon be uploaded on the open educational platform Classroom of the Onassis Foundation. We invite you to continue visiting this platform, which is constantly enriched with new educational material.
