This year, the Group's Human Resources Department, in collaboration with the Health Pillar of the Onassis Foundation, launches a significant initiative with the aim of informing and raising awareness among our people on health issues, both with regards to our own healthcare and to encourage our participation in volunteering and social benefit actions. People remain our primary goal.Starting from our own healthcare, we continue offering to Health, Culture, and Education for all.People remain always in the core of the Onassis Foundation activities. So is the belief that contemporary health services and quality therapeutic practices must remain accessible by all. Starting from the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center (OCSC) that was delivered to the Greek state in 1992, we went on with the refurbishment of the new Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center at the Andreas Syngros Hospital; the donation of one of only 40 cutting-edge VECTRA 3D WB360 3D imaging systems available in the world that shields people against skin cancer and melanoma; the support of organizations that have contributed greatly to Greek society, such as the “ELPIDA Association of Friends of Children with Cancer” and “ELEPAP”; the numerous donations, actions, campaigns, educational programs concerning the healthcare of all; and the Onassis National Transplant Center (ONTRC), the first and unique center for the transplant of solid organs in the country, the construction of which will be completed in 2024.
