Rosas and the Ictus company jointly explore temporal experiences.
In "Vortex Temporum" by the French composer Gérard Grisey, a musical phrase is born then transformed on three temporal levels: the familiar tempo of human speech and breathing, the expanded tempo of whales and the contracted time of birds and insects.
Rosas and the Ictus company jointly explore these temporal experiences. The distinguished choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker uses her favorite motifs -circles, eddies and spirals- to convey the complex nature of time, creating a large and ever-changing sculpture on stage out of sounds, musicians’ gestures, dancers’ movements and dynamics shaped by the space.
