The “Re-Think Athens: Urban Challenges” event series seeks to examine the present-day city from an international perspective and through the use of various approaches. It consists of a series of discussions dedicated to efforts for the revitalization of modern city centers, and to their socially differentiated effects. These discussions will focus on processes reclaiming public space undertaken by public bodies and citizen-led initiatives, on the relationship between social groups and the built environment, and on policies combating ever-widening social inequality.
