Introduction
“What’s it like to see without being seen?” George Aperghis, one of Europe’s most significant composers, takes us on a stroll through his "Luna Park".

George Aperghis, one of Europe’s most significant composers of music theater, opera and instrumental music, is appearing at the Onassis Stegi for a second time, once again in collaboration with IRCAM, the world’s leading research institute in the field of music and acoustics.
Aperghis, who is of Greek descent, uses technology to pose a highly pertinent issue: the way new media allow our daily lives to be monitored. “What’s it like to see without being seen? What’s it like to watch your neighbors in their homes, on the street, going about their everyday lives, while never coming out from behind your computer screen? In "Luna Park", everyone is watching everyone else.”
