How does music become a means of inclusivity and communication? A unique educational program that introduces parents and children to the magical world of music through creative and entertaining activities.

For a tenth consecutive year, the educational program of the Onassis Foundation “Music Loves Autism” brings music to mixed groups of children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder and their parents. Musical notes, sound, and rhythm become “the language of communication,” its means being the piano or the saxophone.

A music workshop full of sound and rhythm aiming to develop team spirit, to encourage self-expression, to promote social skills, and to support emotional growth. Musicians, special education teachers, parents, and children get to know each other, play, and sing, in a safe environment. Through experience and creativity, the workshop aims to enable children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder to release their potential and become part of the team.

Terms and conditions

Each child must be accompanied only by one parent. In some occasions, participation of first-degree relatives, such as siblings, may be allowed.

Participation to all meetings of the cycle is mandatory.
