How the concept of the library evolves over time as a fundamental conception of Western civilization? (the title Mobilis in mobile refers to Jules Verne and to the Nautilus Library).
We will examine the concept of the library travelling in history from the antiquity to the post-classical Hellenistic times and the great Library of Alexandria, from the Christian Libraries to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, from the Libraries of the Enlightenment, Romanticism and the Industrial World to the labyrinths of Borges and the labyrinth of Internet.
