A contemporary dance performance featuring children from 10 schools in Athens and Chania which confirms, in the most creative way possible, that dance unites... on the Main Stage of the Onassis Stegi.

Video

Creativity, self-confidence, cooperation and communication for school children through the art of dance. “Dancing to connect” isn't just a dance festival for teenagers; it's an institution conceived of and set up by New York's Battery Dance Company which brings young people together to learn what contemporary dance is, how to realize their potential, set their imaginations free and, above all else, how to collaborate and work as a team.

With partners in 54 countries around the world, the Onassis Stegi is taking contemporary dance to teenagers in their schools for the sixth consecutive year. After Patras, Ioannina, Trikala and Komotini, it's now Chania's turn to join the dance, along with five schools in Athens. The classroom, the school gym, the playground and even the corridors are transformed into a space for artistic creativity and rehearsals. The program is completed with two shows. First, the students of Chania, will perform at their hometown, and then, all participating schools on the Main Stage of the Onassis Stegi.
