For a parent raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the road is long and full of challenges. With the increasing frequency of ASD in recent years, understanding and acceptance, combined with practical methods of support and intervention, are deemed necessary. Apply to participate in the experiential workshop and learn how you can become part of a comprehensive therapeutic intervention for your child.
What is autism? What is a child’s course from the day it is first diagnosed to the present time? What are the changes brought about, and what are the challenges for each family member? How can each parent become part of the therapeutic intervention?
This experiential workshop is organized in the context of the Onassis Foundation's support for the work of the Laboratory for Special Education and Family Counseling and in response to the growing need and desire of parents of children with ASD for knowledge and information.
Come share with us your experiences and the issues that concern you about Autism Spectrum Disorder. Discuss how you can effectively manage the changes that accompany a diagnosis, the complex and so diverse needs of children with ASD in today’s society, as well as the appropriate therapeutic approaches to help your children fully mobilize their capacities.
Become part of a comprehensive therapeutic approach for your child. Accept the invitation of the Onassis Foundation and the Laboratory for Special Education and Family Counseling to attend this experiential training workshop and seek guidance and knowledge around the issues that concern you through contemplative and interactive processes.
