“Hack the Art: Yanoulis Halepas” – a Panhellenic competition for schoolchildren – is launching with an online presentation open to all. Watch the event, be inspired by the last year’s award-winning teams, and sign up for the most high-tech school competition there is in Greece.

Drawing inspiration from the troubled life and great artistic legacy left by the Greek sculptor Yanoulis Halepas, schoolchildren are being invited to create digital works using art and new technologies, as well as the life story and experiences of an artist who would, in the end, carve out an entire chapter to himself in the cultural heritage of both Greece and the world.

In these two online hours, you’ll get the chance to meet the winning teams of last year’s competition, who’ll be presenting their projects. You’ll also be introduced to the team of people who worked to create our new digital competition, and to learn everything you need to know about taking part with your school.

The “Hack the Art: Yanoulis Halepas” Panhellenic competition for schoolchildren is being organized by the Onassis Foundation in partnership with the Teloglion Foundation of Arts and the National Gallery of Greece – Alexandros Soutsos Museum. Accredited by the Hellenic Ministry for Education and Religious Affairs, it is being realized under the aegis of the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy.

Discover the program, sign up, and get ready to take your own journey through the enigmatic artistic universe created by Yanoulis Halepas.
