Titled “Winter Journey”, it features Franz Schubert’s song cycle “Winterreise” (D 911, opus 89, 1828) for voice and piano, on poems by the German romantic poet Wilhelm Müller.
The songs will be sung in Greek. An idea of Dionysis Kapsalis, who has also translated and adjusted the poems into Greek, it aims to facilitate Greek audiences in experiencing the work, as it unfolds, making it their own.
