In the discussion, the participants are going to delve into topics such the Cavafy’s reception by an international audience, the Cavafian oeuvre as a source of inspiration for photographers, his influence on performance art etc.

C.P. Cavafy and his oeuvre have surpassed the Greek borders: the poet and his work are now considered to be a point of reference for artists and individuals both inside and outside Greece. Cavafy has been assimilated and is now part of the so-called mass culture. In the discussion, the participants are going to delve into topics such as Cavafy’s presence on the web, Cavafy’s reception by an international audience, Cavafy and photography, the Cavafian oeuvre as a source of inspiration for photographers and Cavafy and his influence on performance art.
