Introduction

In this session, scholars, writers, poets and educators will approach C. P. Cavafy’s work accentuating the multiple avenues of reading, understanding, and using Cavafy’s work in our time. The reception and use of C.P. Cavafy’s poetry in times of crisis the teaching and reading of Cavafy inside and outside the school class and the enduring relevance of the Cavafian oeuvre; all these topics will form the axis of the discussion.
Entrance to all the events in the “Talks and Thoughts” Cycle is free and on a first come, first served basis.
The distribution of entrance tickets begins one (1) hour before each event.
Simultaneous translation is provided in the case of speakers using a language other than Greek.
