A cyborg newscaster, a disgusting dick pic-sending man with greasy hair, the chic female director of the Dick Pic Academy, a prime minister out of the blue, and a half-naked weatherman are the five personas appearing in this news bulletin of the day after.
What place do the patriarchy, misogyny, and heteronormativity have in this “new” world? Social media confirms our suspicions. Dick pics are here and going strong and still in vogue! Weaponizing the dishonesty and potency of fake news, This Is the Day After provides a commentary on issues of power and gender, and encourages us to engage in endless sexting.

The project was collectively created through a 2-month intensive lab. The curatorial team and the creative community jointly developed the content and the aesthetics, in such a way that the content is intellectual co-creation of all participants.
