For an eighth week, the Onassis Foundation digital channel on YouTube presents archive and new productions from its wide scope of actions. From Michail Marmarinos to Elias Giannakakis, from the music festival Tectonics to old and new radiophonics, from Simon Critchley to a video about coronavirus and individuals with autistic spectrum disorder, the Onassis Foundation keeps on supplying us with actions, believing that art and education never cease, even in hard times.
The internationally acclaimed director Michail Marmarinos deals with Faust, that is, with the myth of a man who sold his soul to the Devil, in an adventurous production-descent to the abyss of Desire, premiering live on YouTube on Sunday, May 24, at 21:00. From Friday, May 22, the documentary Michail Marmarinos in Faust’s Workshop will be made available as well, in which Elias Giannakakis follows Marmarinos, from the first rehearsals to the premiere of the production, attempting to decipher the thought of the important theatrical creator.
From Friday, a documentary short film about the festival Tectonics Athens 2019, the music festival of Stegi which proves that, when it comes to music, anything is possible, will be added.
Simon Critchley proceeds with the podcasts Apply-Degger – An analysis of Heidegger’s thought in “Being and Time”, since he firmly believes that the encounter with Martin Heidegger’s work “Being and Time” can change a person’s life. This week, the three following podcasts of the series are made available.
From this week, Radiophonics becomes part of the Onassis Foundation Digital Channel program; Radiophonics is a series of original radio productions which will be added on the Digital Channel every Friday.
Last but not least, the Onassis Education creates a video titled Coronavirus and Autism Spectrum Disorder about the pandemic and the precautions it imposes on our lives, which is addressed to people with autistic spectrum disorder. The video will be made available from Monday, May 25.
