Vassiliki Petta

Vassiliki Petta is a pulmonologist and National Health Service Registrar B at the General Anti-Cancer Hospital ‘Agios Savvas’ as of December 2018. She has worked as a scientific associate at the Oncology unit of the Thoracic Diseases General Hospital ‘Sotiria’ between 2010-2011. She specialized in Pulmonology-Phthisiology at the Sismanogleio General Hospital of Attica from 2013 to 2017, and in October of 2017 she was entitled a Pulmonology Specialist and worked for a year as Registrar B at the 4th Pulmonary Clinic of the Thoracic Diseases General Hospital ‘Sotiria.’ She completed her doctoral dissertation with honors and was named Doctor of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2018. She is conducting postdoctoral research on lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a study for which she received a research scholarship from the Hellenic Pulmonary Hypertension Association in December of 2021. She holds a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation and has successfully fulfilled two postgraduate programs at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a subject in Thoracic Oncology and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation respectively. Moreover, she holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has published articles in foreign language journals of high scientific prestige, received accolades and awards, participated in conferences as a speaker, and is the author of medical books. Her interests are theater, poetry, music, dance, and participation in guided tours and cultural excursions.
