Universal Everything
Universal Everything (UE) are a collective of media artists, experience designers, and future makers. Their life-affirming, future-positive, audience-focused approach inspires all their collaborations, artworks, and prototypes.
UE have worked remotely since 2004. The collective form bespoke teams for each project from their global network. This network includes 60+ architects, engineers, designers, cinematographers, animators, musicians, and developers.
UE use emerging display technologies as their canvas. They take a stylized, playful approach to design, architecture, nature, and digital life. Their experiences subvert cinematic CGI, physics simulations, and real-time generative design. This way, they create new forms of moving image, interaction, and immersive spaces.
The studio engages in collaborations including future R&D with Apple, immersive spaces with Hyundai, generative audiovisual apps with Radiohead, and interactive spaces with Zaha Hadid Architects.
UE's self-initiated artworks are available in limited editions. These include digital files, NFTs, bespoke wall-mounted displays, and site-specific installations.
Prototypes are fundamental to UE’s evolution. The collective believe beneficial design can be beautiful, desirable, and joyful. It enables deeper engagement, encouraging new future-positive human behaviors. UE attempt to address global challenges including clean energy, electric vehicles, digital wellbeing, and healthcare.
UE calculate and offset project energy usage using Solar-Aid. They also donate a percentage of studio profits to charity optimizers GiveWell, Kiva.org, and GiveDirectly. Since 2004 they have pioneered the remote working creative collective, allowing international collaborations with minimal air travel.
