Panos Minogiannis

Panos Minogiannis has been General Manager of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center since 2014, leading its financial turnaround and ensuring top rating and standards of its clinical results and performance, which have established it as the best cardiac surgery center in Southeast Europe.

Having served as the Health Services Coordinator for ATHENS 2004 Olympics, he worked as an executive in the health sector in Qatar and Greece. As the CEO and President of the Board of the Athens Oncology Center “St Savvas” (2010–2013), he was instrumental to its financial turnaround, expanding its services as well as ensuring its development through extensive expansion and infrastructure works.

He holds a PhD from Columbia University, New York. His doctoral thesis focused on the European Integration and Health Policy, receiving the Marisa de Castro Benton Award. From 2009 to 2015 he was Visiting Professor at Columbia University and at the Open University of Cyprus. He has published books and numerous articles on health policy issues. He is an Onassis Scholar. In 2016 he received an outstanding-achievement recognition for his support of the White House Medical Unit and the President of the United States.
