Scholarships in innovative fields

We have been releasing potential since 1978 with the 7.000 plus scholarships we have awarded. Every year, through the Onassis Foundation Scholarship Program, we support bold young people with the courage to innovate and create. This year, focusing on digital technologies and research, we have awarded a total of 74 scholarships in innovative fields including Computational Archaeology, Medical Biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence.

Our young scholars inspired us with their thinking, vision and persistence. Among them, Sofia Nomikou will study the three-dimensional structure of the genetic material in the cell nucleus with applications in the study of the hematopoietic system and leukaemia. Anastasios Papathanasopoulos will design an antenna capable of detecting wind energy and helping prevent damage to the weather radar satellites that provide us with hurricane warnings. Peοple with bold ideas shaping the society of the future.
