Nikos Kolioukos
Nikos Kolioukos (b. 1996) is a film director based in Athens. He graduated from the Film Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His debut short film, “The Chaos She Left Behind,” won the 2nd Prize in the “La Cinef” competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The film received the Best Student Film Award from the Hellenic Film Academy and was awarded during its national premiere at the 46th Drama International Short Film Festival with the Best Director and Best Leading Actress awards in the national student competition. Afterward, the film was showcased at the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and was officially selected at the 30th Sarajevo International Short Film Festival. Nikos is currently preparing his next mid-length film, “Amnesia” (Homemade Films Productions), a queer love story taking place in Thessaloniki’s working class of the 80s.
