Joe McKay

Joe McKay is a digital media artist who uses games and interactivity to critically examine the way our culture consumes and creates technology.
McKay works in several different mediums, including creative coding, interactive installation, multimedia, video games, video, photo and more. He has collaborated with and played the role of developer on numerous artists’ works. McKay received a BFA from NSCAD and an MFA from UC Berkeley. He is an alumnus of the Whitney Museum’s Independent Study Program, and a recipient of artist residencies at Eyebeam and Signal Culture.
McKay has an extensive exhibition history, both nationally and internationally. He is represented by Pari Nadimi Gallery in Toronto and serves as chair of New Media at SUNY Purchase College.
