Gregory Jusdanis
Gregory Jusdanis teaches Modern Greek and Comparative Literature at the Ohio State University and has given seminars in Universidad del Rosario, Bogota, Universidad de Cartagena, Cartagena, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Kwara State University, Ilorin, Nigeria. . The author of The Poetics of Cavafy: Textuality, Eroticism, History (1987), Belated Modernity and Aesthetic Culture. Inventing National Literature (1991), The Necessary Nation (2001), Fiction Agonistes. In Defense of Literature (2010), A Tremendous Thing. Friendship from the Iliad to the Internet (2014). He has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Woodrow Wilson Center at the Smithsonian Institution, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. He is completing a biography of C. P. Cavafy (with Peter Jeffreys) and a comparative study of Greece and Latin America.
