Dr Foteini Dimirouli is a Research Fellow in English and Access Fellow at Keble College, University of Oxford.

As a Research Fellow in English, she explores how the mediations of prominent English-speaking writers in the 20th century contributed to the gradual inclusion of C. P. Cavafy in the global literary canon. Her book, “Authorising the Other: C. P. Cavafy in the English and American Literary Scenes,” will be published by Oxford University Press in 2024. As an Access Fellow, she is a strategic supervisor of the University of Oxford’s program for equal access to education. The program aims to achieve an equal distribution of male and female students from diverse minority ethnic groups. She serves on Keble College's Governing Body and Research Committee and the Onassis Scholars’ Association Board (2022).

Foteini Dimirouli holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in English Literature (University of Athens and Durham University), a PhD in Comparative Literature (University of Oxford), and pursued postdoctoral studies in Hellenic and English Literature at the Princeton Center for Hellenic Studies and Oxford. Her publications have examined the production of authorship through a sociological lens and the artwork’s autonomy in periods of authoritarianism and censorship. Her current research focuses on digital reconfigurations of literature and the issue of otherness and gender as it manifests in translation practices. She has taught extensively on these topics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and participated in international conferences, symposia, and seminars. In addition, she has been responsible for designing and delivering numerous projects on equality in education and evaluating them using data analysis to keep up with political and social developments in the UK.
